As an RYA Powerboat Instructor you will teach the RYA Powerboat level 1&2 courses. These courses run with up to 3 students and take place over 2 consecutive days, during which time you will teach the skills required for basic powerboat handling. Over the 2 days you get to know the students very well and will ultimately form a strong team bond with them. To become an RYA Powerboat instructor, you must:
- Hold a valid RYA Powerboat level 2 certificate
- Hold a valid RYA First Aid certificate
- Have either 5 years powerboating experience, or if you work on boats full time, one seasons experience
- Be older than 16 years old
- Pass the instructor skills assessment day
