Creative Director – Camel Farm

Daisy has lived with camels her whole life. Daisy has also worked with racehorses in Australia, helping her to develop her animal skills.  

The farm produces raw camels’ milk, that is sold in raw milk form in four bottle sizes. Daisy also produces camel milk chocolate; four types of truffles, and three types of hard chocolates. There is also camel milk soap.  

Camel milk is an incredible super food, rich in vitamin C, amazing for the skin, has immune boosting properties, is suitable for those that are lactose intolerant, and has medicinal purposes.  

Daisys working life is busy, milking twice a day at 8am and 5pm. The animals’ stables are cleaned daily, and they are put in and out of the field daily too. There is administrative work to do; sales, marketing, and social media. Hours worked depend on the day, some days are more basic of 4-5 hours, other days are twelve hours.  

The working environment is hard. It is hard being your own boss, and starting a new business There is a lot of solo working, and a lot of responsibility that can sometimes be overwhelming. It can be a physically challenging job, handling large and strong animals.  

There are many satisfying parts to Daisy’s job for example when milking goes well.  The business is constantly sold out of the milk now. Spending time with the camels. Having flexibility in her working life and being her own boss.  Having creative control and being able to put her ideas into reality.
