I work at Opus Energy which is a part of the Drax Group. We sell electricity to small and medium sized businesses. As an Energy Relationship Specialist my role is to engage with our customers supporting their electricity needs and responding to billing and usage enquiries.
My day-to-day work involves speaking with customers to resolve their concerns raised with us. The types of queries we receive can vary, for example customers disputing the amount on their invoices and usage which we would investigate by calculating their consumption and comparing this to previous months consumption to make sure this falls in line. We also deal with customers that are struggling to pay their bills and on occasions will go through customers income and expenditures to calculate affordable payment plans.
We also send out reporting to monitor everyone’s productivity, looking at complaint volumes to make sure we are on track with our target and actively share ideas to help progress complaints.
