Head of Operations

Ryan, former student of Ormiston Sudbury Academy, works as a Head of Operations across a few small businesses in London and East Anglia.

After A-levels in Musical Theatre, Music Technology and Acting, Ryan left Ormiston Sudbury determined to make it as a professional actor. He wanted to take a year out to prepare for drama school auditions. During this year he took a job as a sales adviser at Phones4U and hasn’t looked back! Ryan has always made choices pursuing things that he was interested in, and technology was a big interest of his. He also realised that he loved coaching and leading teams. He has never let his current level of experience stop him from trying something new that he is passionate about.

Ryan’s advice to other OAT students:

• You never know if you are good at something or not, until you try it.
• Break an overwhelming task into bite-size chunks, learn from your mistakes, put your full dedication with research into learning how to do a role and respond to feedback.
• To be at your very best, you must love what you do. Finishing your day with a big smile on your face, after a job well done, will make the hard work that much more rewarding to do.
