Professional Ice Skater

Paige, former student of Ormiston Meadows Academy and Ormiston Bushfield Academy, is a professional ice dancer.

Paige completed A-levels in Maths, Biology and Chemistry, however she has always loved ice skating and wanted to pursue it as a career! Paige started skating at the age of 7 and she won the Junior Title in the British Solo Ice Dancing Championships. She is now travelling around France in a show called Cirque de Glace; she is living her dream and travelling and experiencing beautiful cities, ice dancing and getting paid.

She got her current job through sending her show-reel to the producer; a show reel is a video compilation of her different skating tricks and skills. She is also a qualified ice-skating coach, so when she comes home, she can teach again.

Paige’s advice to other OAT students:

• Do what you want to do – not necessarily the typical or easy option. Follow you heart and do what you want to do!
